MIDVALE HEIGHTS COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION AREA DIRECTORS’ MEETING MINUTES
TUESDAY April 25, 2023, 6:45 pm
Present: J. Cardin, K. Walter, J. Walter, E. Mackey, T. Jarvis, G. Fischer, J. Veto, J. Lager, C. Kreimendahl
1. Cardin called the meeting to order at 6:47 p.m.
2. Treasurer’s Report: Lager presented the report submitted by Rotter. Shows balance of $43,191.20. T-ball income has starting rolling in.
3. Legislators’ reports - None.
4. Play Streets proposal - a resident on Piper Dr. wishes to get permit making it easier to close street for block party or kids’ events. Motion/2nd to approve $50 for City permit. Motion carried.
5. Minutes: Motion/2nd to approve February minutes. Motion carried.
6. Segoe Park Picnic - J. Veto is coordinating with help from Cathy Rotter. Will need food servers on 6/22. Some discussion of adjusting food amounts for larger crowds, esp. with new apartment residents. Possibly renting a Port-a-Potty. Motion/second to approve $4500 for picnic expenses. Motion carried.
7. Blood Drive: MHCA sponsors next Red Cross driveat Sequoya on 6/8. Volunteers welcome.
8. Membership: Kreimendahl reviewed the calendar and steps for getting the membership drive started. Includes hand delivery of Membership Messengers by block captains to each household. Motion/2nd to approve $2500 for printing costs. Motion carried.
Cardin mentioned that she will update the welcome page of the MHCA member directory.
