1. Meet District 10 County Board Supervisor Erin Welch
- Vice Chair of Commission on Sensitive Crimes
- Member of the Health and Human Needs Commission and Zoo Commission
2. Alder Report
- Upcoming Events
- District 11 Book Club will be held on Thursday, May 8 at 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Sequoya Library.
- Tishler will be hosting Book Beat once a month on Mondays at 1:00 pm.
- Power Outage
- MGOE will be looking into the more recent and frequent power outages in the area.
- Transportation Updates
- Additional bus shelters and benches expected.
- No routes will be eliminated.
- Funding has been authorized to make the Odana Road and Whitney Way intersection safer for pedestrians and bikers.
3. March Meeting Minutes
- March meeting minutes approval. Motion/2nd to do so. Motion carried.
4. Treasurer’s Report
- No report for April.
5. Activity Updates
- Summer Games
- TBD on whether event will happen in 2025
- Picnic
- No update
- Membership Drive
- New ideas include yard signs, flyers around local businesses; emails to those that have registered email addresses; and use of QR codes for easier signup.
6. May Meeting
- May meeting will be held at the Midtown Police Station (4020 Mineral Point Road, Madison, WI 53705); will begin with a presentation from the Midtown Police Department from 6-7 p.m. This is open to all.
7. Membership Messenger
- Membership Messengers will be dropped off at residents’ homes in early May.
