Encouraging neighbors to connect, communicate, and come together
Studies show that our communities are more divided than they were before the covid-19 pandemic. The Midvale Heights Good Neighbor Project hopes to reverse that trend by encouraging the people who live and work in our neighborhoods to purposefully connect, communicate, and come together. Safe, caring neighborhoods start with Good Neighbors!
Knowing each other and the police officers and other first responders in our area, and partnering together as a community, can go a long way. We celebrate this each year in August as part of the nationwide National Night Out offering free food, opportunities to interact with officers, mounted police, K-9 units, and time to gather with neighbors. (Due to the recent officer-involved critical incident, the Madison Police Department has canceled all National Night Out events across the city, including ours at Westmorland Park)
